Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong seeks a Sommelier - Blanc de Noirs to join our F&B Service team. Based at The Landmark, you will manage beverage service and wine inventory, promote wine sales, and participate in daily restaurant operations under the Director of Wine.

The ideal candidate holds a WSET certificate, has at least 2 years in F&B, fine dining or Michelin-starred experience preferred, and is fluent in Cantonese and English. Mandarin is an advantage.

About The Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong within F&B Service Division in Hong Kong, the Sommelier will be responsible for managing the beverage service and all the wine inventory as well as promoting sales. To be involved in the daily operation of the restaurant and to serve wines and spirits in the restaurants. The Sommelier reports to the Director of Wine.

As Sommelier - Blanc de Noirs, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Deliver a delighted bar and dining experience to our guests
• Oversee and maintain smooth and efficient operations in the bar areas
• Understand guests’ needs and deliver excellent service and professional recommendation
• Ensure that the beverage lists are updated and maintain accurate sales records
• Monitor the proper storage, aging rotation and temperature of all stock in beverage storeroom in a daily basis
• Provide on-the-job training to bartenders as well as the service team in all aspects of the beverage service and knowledge

As Sommelier - Blanc de Noirs, we expect from you:

• Holder of WSET certificate
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant in F&B or hotel industry
• Experience in fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurants is preferred
• Pleasant, presentable, service -oriented, a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Cantonese and English. Mandarin is an advantage
