Job summary

HKT is seeking a Technical Lead for system and solution design, coding, testing, and support for Mobile Value Added Services and Corporate Solutions in Hong Kong. You will translate user requirements into cost-effective solutions and communicate with customers to ensure clarity and success.

You will manage vendors to deliver technical solutions, monitor project life cycles, ensure on-time delivery, and guide a team with strong English, Putonghua, and Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related disciplines.
• 5 to 8 years software development experience.
• Experience in tender technical response, secure programming, code reviews and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead system and solution design, program coding, testing and enhancement.
• Provide technical support for Mobile Value Added Services and Corporate Solutions.
• Transform user requirements into cost-effective solutions and communicate with customers.
• Act as vendor manager to formulate technical solutions and ensure delivery.

Technical lead for system and solution design, program coding, database implementation, testing, enhancement, upgrade and provide technical support for the Mobile Value Added Services and Corporate Solutions

Have hands-on experience in tender technical response preparation, secure software programming, code review and writing documentation (e.g. FRS, Design spec, System flow, Operation manual, Test plan, Test report, etc)

To be able to transform user requirements into a cost effective, solutions and to be able to well communicate with customer.

To act as a vendor manager to formulate technical solution with vendor and ensure successful solution delivery.

To act as project manager to monitor the project progress throughout the project life cycle and to ensure the project can be completed within the target schedule

The person

Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related disciplines

5 to 8 years software development experience

Experience in :

C/C++, Java, C#, .Net Framework, IIS, Apache, Tomcat, socket & Web applicationprogramming

TCP/IP protocol

DB setup and support replication or form failover cluster (include MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle DB)

VMware, Hyper-V setup

Knowledge in Mobile VAS and Mobile network technologies will be in advantage

Solid vendor management skills and experience

Self-motivated, independent, fast learning and positive attitude

Good problem solving and analytical skills

Sound project and risk management skills

Good communication and people management skills

Good command of English, Chinese and Putonghua
