Job summary

Pu Cheng Lin Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to maintain a safe construction site by enforcing safety standards, conducting inspections, and coordinating with stakeholders to reduce risks and ensure compliance.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or related degree, a safety qualification, and WSH registration as applicable. You will lead briefings, audits, and incident investigations while ensuring proper PPE use and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (or equivalent).
• Registered/qualified WSH Officer or Site Safety Supervisor as required by project scope.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and prevent accidents.
• Monitor workers/subcontractors to enforce safety regulations.
• Ensure activities follow Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and Method Statements.
• Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
• Maintain safety records and documentation for audits.
• Coordinate with main contractors, WSH personnel, and stakeholders on safety.
• Assist in incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
• Monitor PPE usage and site housekeeping to meet safety standards.

Job Summary

At Pu Cheng Lin Engineering Pte Ltd, the Site Safety Supervisor ensures a safe construction environment by enforcing workplace safety and health standards, conducting inspections, and collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate risks and promote compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, hazards, and potential risks to prevent accidents
• Monitor workers and subcontractors to enforce compliance with workplace safety and health regulations
• Ensure site activities adhere to approved Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and Method Statements to maintain safety standards
• Lead safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and site safety inductions to educate workers on safety practices
• Implement and monitor the company’s Workplace Safety and Health policies and procedures to uphold safety culture
• Identify safety hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures to reduce risks
• Follow up on safety observations, incidents, and non-compliance issues to ensure timely resolution
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection checklists, reports, and relevant documentation for compliance and audits
• Liaise with main contractors, WSH personnel, project teams, and stakeholders to coordinate safety efforts
• Assist in incident and accident investigations and prepare detailed reports to support safety improvements
• Monitor proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment to ensure worker protection
• Maintain housekeeping, access routes, work areas, and site conditions to meet safety standards
• Support inspections and audits by main contractors and relevant authorities to ensure regulatory compliance
• Perform other safety-related and ad hoc duties as assigned to support site safety management

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, pharmacy (medical/ first aider), or equivalent qualification
• Registered/qualified Workplace Safety and Health Officer or Site Safety Supervisor as required by project scope

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in construction site safety supervision
• Experience in building construction, wet trade works
• Familiarity with Singapore Workplace Safety and Health regulations and construction safety requirements
• Knowledge of Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures, toolbox meetings, and safety inspections
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety documentation
• Effective communication skills to engage workers, supervisors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage pressure in a fast-paced construction environment
