Job summary

Further Materials Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a Safety Officer to oversee health and safety across engineering and construction projects. You will monitor practices, conduct site inspections, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Role requires MOM WSHO registration and 3–5 years of related experience, with strong teamwork and hands-on commitment to safety on-site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering/Construction and related safety qualifications.
• Valid MOM registration as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in engineering and construction.
• Familiar with construction site safety inspections and regulations.
• Hands-on, meticulous team player.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and health aspects of all projects and ensure safe work practices.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure safe procedures are followed.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and propose remedial actions.
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain high safety housekeeping at site.
• Plan, administer and implement safety policies per local regulations.
• Internal audits for renewal/surveillance of ISO and BizSafe Star.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors for safe planning.

Company Overview

We design and implement tailored solutions to maintain precise environmental conditions for semiconductor manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and health aspect of all projects and workers safe work practices.
• Conduct daily site inspection on work activities to ensure implementation of safe work procedures.
• Investigate accidents / incidents / dangerous occurrences and recommend remedial measures to prevent any recurrences.
• Carry out risk assessment for all projects and maintain high level of safety and housekeeping at site.
• Carry out safety orientations and to conduct daily toolbox meeting.
• Plan, Administer and implement safety policy and safety procedures in compliance with local safety regulations.
• Responsible for Internal Audit for Renewal/Surveillance of ISO and Bizsafe Star.
• Ensure compliance of operations with Workplace Safety and Health Act and all its subsidiary and statutory legal legislations.
• Identify any unsafe condition or unsafe work practice and recommend / implement reasonably practicable measures to correct the situation.
• Inspection of project materials delivered by supplier to ensure conformity and arrange for testing if required
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe work planning and execution.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Superior.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Engineering / Construction, BCSS, Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B), Work-At-Height Course for Supervisor Certificate and Risk Management Certificate.
• Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Engineering and Construction Industry.
• Familiar with construction site safety inspections and regulations.
• A good team player who is hands-on and meticulous in work.
