Job summary

CR Construction Company seeks an experienced Sub-Agent/Senior site supervisor to plan, direct and organize construction teams on a major project. You will collaborate with the project manager to coordinate subcontractors, manpower and equipment to meet the programme and budget.

The role requires a degree in Building Studies or related field, TCP T1 or above, and at least 15 years of site experience with 5+ years in Sub-Agent or higher positions.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Building Studies, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• TCP T1 or above.
• At least 15 years’ relevant site experience with 5+ years in Sub-Agent or above.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and organize construction teams including Sub Agent, Senior Foreman, Foreman, and Assistant Foreman to carry out works according to the approved method and programme.
• Work with the project manager to plan subcontractors’ manpower resources and equipment
• Arrange progress meetings and manage subcontractors to ensure project completion per budget, programme and quality
• Enforce safety regulations and take precautionary measures on site
• Liaise with client, consultants and subcontractors to establish and maintain close partnership

Job description

Plan, direct and organize construction team including

Sub Agent, Senior Foreman, Foreman, Assistant Foreman to carry out construction works according to the approved method statement and programme

Work with the project manager to plan for subcontractors’ manpower resources and equipment

Arrange progress meeting and manage subcontractors to ensure the completion of project according to the budget, programme and quality

Prepare short term working programme and supervise the sub-contractors to implement

Review resources requirements and plan ahead the work, examine method statement with risk assessment in accordance with site constraints and requirements to ensure efficient site operation

Monitor and control the material wastage. Arrange the construction sequence properly with the effective use of equipment. Minimize the wastage and double handling

Monitor and control use of electricity and water on site to minimize wastage

Assist in providing relevant data and records with time and cost implications for claims

Review daily reports, daywork records, abortive work records

Enforce safety regulations and take appropriate precautionary measures

Execute and direct subordinates to perform their duties according to the Quality Plan or departmental manual

Work with the Compliance Department to carry out quality inspection and self-checking according to the approved Quality Plan and Safety Plan

Work with the project manager to set up emergency team. Execute and direct all security measures and discipline on site

Organize site set up. Apply and arrange construction equipment to site

Inspect all materials and work to ensure the compliance with contract specifications and regulations

Perform TCP responsibilities

Inspect and approve subcontractors’ work in progress

Job Requirement:

Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Building Studies, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent or equivalent qualification

TCP T1 or above

At least 15 years’ relevant site experiences in building construction and with 5 years or more holding the position as Sub-Agent or above
