Job summary

CR Construction Company is looking for a Structural/Civil Engineer to compile drawings and records, assist with method statements and calculations, and monitor sub-contractors by drawing and schedule. You will coordinate with architects, consultants and trades and attend technical meetings.

• Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of building construction experience.
• Fluent in English and Chinese, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Compile construction drawings and records; assist with method statements and calculation sheets.
• Monitor sub-contractors by drawing and program schedule.
• Coordinate with architect, consultant and sub-contractor for technical issues.
• Attend technical/E&M/progress meetings.
• Draft and submit RFIs, CVIs, and site work records for claims.
• Maintain QA/QC, safety plans, and ensure timely, quality structural works.

Job description

Compile construction drawing and other construction record, assist with submission of technical method statement and calculation sheet

Monitoring sub-contractor by established drawing and program schedule

Coordinate with architect, consultant and sub-contractor for technical issues

Attend technical/ E&M/ progress meeting.

Draft and submit request form for sample of material

Monitoring the loss of structural material and building material.

Organize information for draft Request for information (RFI), confirmation of verbal instruction (CVI) and structural work record for claim

Carry out the duty of TCP

Refer to complied site overall quality assurance and safety plan, coordinate with Compliance Department to inspect, quality control and self-inspect

Maintain and update the site structural work quality record, prepare internal and external audit properly, ensure none or least unconformable situation

Make inspection with resident consultant and sub-contractor. Arrange structural material testing, conduct and submit relevant reports

Draft notice of rectification and site memorandum for sub-contractor

Refer to the program and site situation, make adjustment and relevant action. Must control the pace of project structural work, to meet the most effective period, cost and quality requirement

Make close communication in warranty period, provide appropriate service

Refer to the tender document, propose the structural emphasis and technical requirement

Job Requirement:

Degree in Structural Engineering/ Civil Engineering or Equivalent

Minimum 4 years experiences in Building Construction

Good communication skills and proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
