Job summary

A&O Shearman in Hong Kong is seeking a Working Capital Controller to join the Finance team. You will manage end-to-end working capital processes for matters, including billing, collections, WIP review and client invoicing to support cash flow.

The role requires 3–5+ years in credit control within a professional services or complex billing environment, strong Excel skills, and the ability to influence Partners and stakeholders across the business. English, Cantonese and Mandarin are valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in a credit control/working capital role in a professional services or similar environment.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to influence Partners and stakeholders and communicate financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end working capital cycle for matters, including WIP review, billing, processing and collections.
• Oversee credit control to monitor aging balances and support bad debt provision estimation.
• Coordinate client onboarding and vendor setup for new matters and ensure proper rate agreements.
• Provide detailed financial information for billing, including hourly schedules and disbursements.
• Assist in annual audit processes with sample and information regarding WIP and debtor balances.
