Job summary

AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned Venue Operations Manager to oversee security and day-to-day operations for AWEM events. You will lead the Venue Operations Duty Team, coordinate with the Airport Authority, control traffic flows, and ensure SOPs are followed across facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of experience (3+ in management), excellent bilingual communication, and strong leadership with client-focused service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Property Management or related disciplines.
• 8+ years experience; event security or logistics background with 3+ years at managerial level is advantageous.
• Excellent in both spoken and written Chinese and English.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; client-centred service.
• Knowledge in local regulatory and legal requirements is a plus.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; comfortable with digital tools.
• Shift duties required; driving licence is advantageous.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for Assistant Venue Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain AWEM security standards to protect life and property for all events.
• Coordinate with Airport Authority, government bodies on traffic, incidents and related operations.
• Monitor control room operations and incident reporting for day-to-day and event operations.
• Lead the Venue Operations Duty Team to ensure inspections meet standards and KPIs.
• Responsible for access control for staff, vehicles and contractors.
• Implement and monitor standard operating procedures for Venue Operations Duty Team & Security Control Room.
• Supervise performance and conduct quality inspections of security personnel from service providers.
• Review SOPs and conduct training for the Venue Operations Duty Team & Security Control Room.
• Assist in administrative and reporting duties including logs, incident reports, lost & found, duty rosters.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as required.
