Job summary

A leading telecom and IT solutions company in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Technical Service Officer (IT Security Alert Analyst) to monitor security events and assist in incident management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and programming skills in PHP or Python. Proficiency in Cantonese, English, and Putonghua is essential for interacting with customers and handling incidents effectively. This role requires shift duty work and self-motivation.

Qualifications

• 7 x 24 monitoring of security information and event management.
• Experience in server and OS administration or networking preferred.
• Programming experience in PHP or Python is preferred.
• Programming experience in PHP and Python; scripting preferred.
• Team environment with coordination responsibilities.
• Self-motivated and proactive work attitude.
• Proficient in Cantonese, English and Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events for various customers.
• Perform initial triage of notable events.
• Assist incident responders with daily management.
• Serve as initial point of contact for customers (email/phone).
• Execute playbooks for events and provide timely responses.
• Deliver daily communications and reports to customers.
• Create incident tickets to initiate triage and analysis.
• Utilize sandbox/test lab environments to evaluate malware.

• 7 x 24 Monitoring of Security Information and Event Management for various customers
• Perform initial triage of the notable events which have potential to become an incident
• Assist Incident Responders of SOC for daily incident management
• Initial resource for customer interaction
• Provide email and phone support for incident support
• Execute according to the play books for events and provide responses
• Responsible for daily deliverables to customer (emails/etc.)
• Formulate and create incident tickets to initiate the triage and analysis.
• Make use of sandbox / test lab environments to evaluate malicious code

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science and Relevant Discipline
• Experience in Server and OS administration and operations OR Networking are preferred
• Shift duty works
• Programing experience, PHP, python and, script is preferred
• Work within a team environment and will be responsible for coordinating work actions with that team.
