Job summary

Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre Limited is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to lead the design, deployment and ongoing management of our hybrid cloud and on‑prem environments. You will drive automation, CI/CD, and cloud platforms to support product development and business objectives.

The role requires 3+ years in systems/DevOps, strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and virtualization, plus scripting in Bash or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of Systems Engineer/DevOps experience with infrastructure focus.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/Huawei).
• Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong skills in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Scripting proficiency (Bash or Python).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and databases.
• Fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and English preferred; immediate availability advantageous.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our IT and Infrastructure team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. You will leverage your expertise in automation, CI/CD, and cloud technologies to ensure our systems are reliable, efficient, and secure, directly supporting our product development and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage our hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and cloud), including servers (Linux/Windows), storage (SAN), and network systems
• Develop, maintain, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI to enable fast, reliable, and automated software releases
• Manage and scale our containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Administer and optimize our virtualized environments using VMware vSphere & Hyper-V
• Develop scripts in Bash or Python to automate routine tasks, system provisioning, and configurations, eliminating manual toil
• Harden systems against vulnerabilities, proactively apply security patches, and manage access controls to ensure infrastructure security and compliance
• Design, test, and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including managing data backups and replication systems
• Utilize version control systems (GitHub, SVN) for infrastructure-as-code and configuration management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role with a strong focus on infrastructure
• Strong hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (e.g. AWS, Azure, or Huawei)
• Proven experience in building and maintaining on-premises server infrastructure
• Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere & Hyper-V)
• Experience with version control systems like GitHub or SVN
• Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and database management
• Strong team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player, effective communication and good interpersonal skills
• Knowledge in database, infrastructure and cloud system
• Knowledge in Data Analytics and Machine Learning is an advantage but not a must
• Proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin and English is preferred
• Immediate available is a definite advantage
