Job summary

Venture Corporation Limited is seeking a Senior System Analyst, IT (SAP ABAP) to be based in Singapore. The role centers on providing IT services for SAP ERP operations, system governance, and delivering ABAP enhancements and interfaces to support business needs.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, ensure data integrity, and lead development tasks across SAP modules to optimise performance and scalability. This is a hands-on senior role with independence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years hands-on SAP ABAP experience; full lifecycle implementation is a plus.
• Strong ABAP OO programming and debugging skills.
• Experience with ABAP performance tools and EDI/ALE/B2B interfaces.

• Own system governance, gather user requirements and design improvements.

AsaSeniorSystemAnalyst,IT(SAPABAP),youwill:

To provide IT professional service to Venture group companies and Support day-to-day SAP ERP operations. Responsible for system governance, getting user’s requirements, system/design improvement, system development, and audit compliance.

• Ensure high quality of technical/program release including Data Dictionary objects, Reports (ALVGrid/List), Dialog Programming, Function Modules, Interfaces (RFC, ALE/EDI using IDoc), Data Conversion (LSMW, BDC, BAPI), Enhancements (BADI, BTE, UserExits), and Forms (SmartForms, SAPScripts).
• Take ownership of technical solution delivery for new business requirements and enhancements across various SAP modules, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP and external systems, including EDI/B2B interfaces (e.g., via BizTalk), by developing and maintaining robust interface programs.
• Guarantee the quality and completeness of technical deliverables, including unit testing, defect resolution, and support for user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices, including code quality, naming conventions, and transport management.
• Collaborate closely with functional teams and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Act as a technical advisor in cross-functional project teams, contributing to planning, estimation, and risk assessment.
• Continuously identify opportunities for system and process improvements and proactively propose enhancements to increase efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Independently manage assigned development tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years hands-on SAP ABAP experience, fulllifecycle implementation will be advantageous.
• Good experience in ABAP Object Oriented Programming(OOP) Model.
• Have experience with ABAP Performance Tools in SAP.
• Have prior experience working with EDI / ALE andany middleware and B2B applications.
• Professional SAP Certification will be advantageous.
• Good proficiency in debugging ABAP objects
• Ability to articulate and communicate with people of all levels in the organization.
• Able to work independently and lead in projects.
• SAP ABAP experience is a must.
• Mature and strong team player with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels.
• Self-motivated with initiative and drive.
