Job summary

Venture Corporation Limited in Singapore is seeking a Buyer (2 Year Contract) to source materials from approved vendors at competitive cost and to ensure quality and delivery.

Based at our HQ in AMK, you will manage supplier liaison, forecast weekly needs, handle orders and the VMI program; a degree or diploma in Electronics/Mechanical Engineering with 2–4 years’ experience is required, and SAP knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electronics / Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years' relevant experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
• Sound knowledge of raw materials costs and process time during negotiation with suppliers
• Resourceful and able to build good rapport with suppliers
• Understandings of the current market trends
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred

We’re looking to add a Buyer (2 Year Contract) in Singapore. The position is based in our HQinAMK.

As a Buyer (2 Year Contract), you will:

Be responsible for purchasing materials from approved/qualified vendors at the most competitive cost & consistently Meeting Quality & Delivery Requirement. Responsible for liaising with suppliers, sourcing for materials and perform order management.

The key responsibilities are as below:

• Source for materials and negotiate with suppliers
• Ensure weekly forecasts with suppliers
• Perform order management
• Manage on-time delivery and Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) program
• Analyse MRP load and reschedule plans
• Resolve quality and other related issues
• Strong negotiation skills and able to build rapport with both customers and vendors

• Basic knowledge of procurement practices, terms, negotiation concepts and business law
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company
• Return excess & rejected materials to vendors
• Negotiate price reduction with the vendors and authority to purchase materials based on MRP generated by Materials Controller at prices not greater than standard price
• Participate in the MRB disposition of material rejected by incoming inspection

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

• Degree or Diploma in Electronics / Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years' relevant experience in an electronics manufacturing environment, preferably in contract manufacturing or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of raw materials costs and process time during negotiation with suppliers
• Resourceful and able to build good rapport with suppliers
• Understandings of the current market trends
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred
