Job Description

• Lead requirement gathering, in-depth system analysis, solution design, and architecture for settlement systems.
• Analyze complex settlement business logic (trade matching, clearing, settlement cycles, fail management, corporate actions, reconciliation) and translate into detailed specifications.
• Design scalable architectures, integration patterns, and data flows to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant settlement operations.
• Identify and prioritize features to enhance settlement logic, STP, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance.
• Explore emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to automate and optimize back-office settlement processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine workflows and improve system design.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and business rule definitions.
• Provide second‑level support focusing on root‑cause analysis and long‑term design improvements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in system analysis, solution architecture, and technical design in financial back‑office systems.
• Strong expertise in system analysis, system design, and modeling complex settlement business logic.
• Solid knowledge of Java enterprise systems (Spring Boot, microservices) with focus on architecture and integration.
• Strong expertise in database design and optimization (SQL, stored procedures) for high‑volume settlement data.
• Practical experience integrating settlement‑related systems (FIX, clearing houses, regulatory platforms).
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin preferred).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Python for automation, data analysis, and AI integration.
• Vue.js / React for web applications.
• Visual Basic (VB/VBA) for legacy systems.
• Experience in AI for settlement automation or risk management.
• Background in securities settlement and SFC regulatory projects.
