Job summary

ConnectedGroup Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to lead enterprise cloud design and governance across a large-scale tech landscape. You will work with engineering and operations to deliver scalable, secure cloud platforms using AWS and Kubernetes, guided by strong IaC and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect in a large enterprise.
• Proven enterprise solution architecture experience in complex environments.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred; CKA/CKAD preferred.
• Deep AWS knowledge (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation/Terraform) and Kubernetes expertise.
• Hands-on with Helm, Istio, Operators and container ecosystem tech.
• Experience designing microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong IaC with Terraform and/or CloudFormation; CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins/GitLab/AWS CodePipeline.

As the Senior Solutions Architect, you will lead the design, governance, and implementation of enterprise cloud solutions across a large‑scale technology environment. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to develop scalable, secure, and resilient solutions leveraging AWS and Kubernetes technologies.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise cloud platforms utilizing AWS and Kubernetes.
• Define and promote architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for cloud‑native application development.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Design and implement microservices‑based architectures, ensuring high availability, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation, and CI/CD best practices to improve deployment efficiency and platform reliability.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for continuous platform improvement and innovation.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to engineering teams across cloud and container technologies.
• Ensure compliance with security, risk management, and regulatory requirements within cloud environments.
• Develop architectural roadmaps, technical standards, solution blueprints, and governance models.

Required Skills for the Role:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, working within a large enterprise.
• Proven experience in enterprise solution architecture within large, complex environments.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
• CKA or CKAD certification preferred.
• Deep expertise in AWS, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation/Terraform.
• Strong Kubernetes experience covering architecture, deployment, scaling, security, and operations.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Helm, Istio, Operators, and container ecosystem technologies.
• Experience designing microservices, APIs, and event‑driven architectures.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code expertise using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, network security, and Kubernetes RBAC.
