Job summary

CITIC Telecom International CPC Limited is seeking an experienced Security Consultant to understand client IT security needs and design robust security solutions. The role involves pre-sales material creation, BOM quotations, and liaising with vendors to close deals.

The candidate should have a degree in IT/CS with at least 3 years in IT and 1 year in information security, plus knowledge of security products and strong English, Cantonese, and Putonghua communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ IT experience with at least 1 year in information security.
• Professional qualifications in information security (CISSP, CISA, ISO 27001) a plus.
• Experience with security products such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, SIEM.
• English, Cantonese and Putonghua proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer IT challenges and security requirements and propose security solutions.
• Prepare proposals, statements of work, presentations and training for pre-sales activities.
• Obtain supplier quotations and prepare BOM descriptions and pricing for quotations.
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to support sales processes.
• Provide product development input from technical/pre-sales perspectives.
• Maintain knowledge of security offerings and industry developments.
• Support service provisioning with Security Services Delivery and Customer Services teams.
• Handle ad hoc projects as assigned.

Job description

Learn about and understand customer’s IT challenges and security requirements; Provide security advisory services to customers by designing and proposing security solutions meeting customer’s requirements

Prepare relevant materials such as proposals, statement of works, presentations, training materials for pre-sales activities

Obtain supplier quotations of the Bill of Materials (BOM) to prepare sales items including product description and price for sales to generate quotation to customer

Liaise with 3rd party suppliers or business partners to support sales to close the deal

Provide suggestions and comments to Product team from technical and pre-sales perspectives for product development

Proactively maintain knowledge of our company's current security solution offerings, products/services in the market and latest technology in the industry

As part of the teams, work with Security Services Delivery team and Customer Services to support service provisioning

Handle ad hoc projects as assigned

What You Bring to Us:

Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related subjects in information security or equivalent

A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in IT with at least 1 year of which in information security areas

Professional qualifications in information security such as CISSP, CISA, ISO 27001, CISP is a plus

Experience in setting up and installing software on LINUX, UNIX and Windows platforms

Knowledge in information security services and products, including but not limited to Firewalls, Network IDS or IPS, DLP, Cloud Security, DDOS Protection, Web Application Firewall, Vulnerability Assessments, Endpoint Security, SIEM, SOC Operation etc.

Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and platforms, with an understanding of their security implications; experience leveraging AI in cybersecurity solutions is a plus

Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua

Good interpersonal skills, able to crosscheck documents meticulously for accuracy

Proficient in MS Office tools and Chinese typing

Candidate with more relevant experience will be considered for the position of Senior Security Consultant
