Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to drive agile delivery across IT projects. You will establish and embed Scrum, coach teams, and remove impediments to ensure value delivery and timely outcomes.

Responsibilities include maintaining a healthy backlog, facilitating ceremonies, and collaborating with Product Owners and stakeholders to align delivery with business goals. Candidates should have a strong certification and offshore experience is a plus.

Qualifications

University degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
Scrum Master Certification (e.g., Scaled Agile, Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in IT project management and project delivery.
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading Scrum Teams as a Scrum Master in an IT development environment.
Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Experience in working with offshore development centres is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Be accountable for the production of deliverables within the agreed timescale, quality, and budget.
Establish and ensure the effectiveness of Scrum within the organisation.
Facilitate all Scrum events, ensuring they are positive, productive, and adhere to time constraints.
Support Product Owners and Scrum teams in maintaining a healthy backlog for current and upcoming sprints.
Remove impediments faced by the Scrum team to ensure smooth progress.
Help the Scrum team focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.
Ensure adherence to Agile principles, practices, and ceremonies within the team.
Identify and manage relationships through effective communication with the Scrum team and stakeholders.
