Job summary

UOB Kay Hian (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an experienced analyst to lead coverage of Chinese Financial and Commodities sectors. The role reports to the Head of Research and demands rigorous bottom-up research, strong financial modeling, and clear investment insights.

You will work with sales and clients, mentor team members, and participate in ad-hoc projects. Fluent English and Mandarin, plus the ability to perform under pressure, are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines.
• At least 4 years’ experience as a writing analyst.
• Exceptional analytical skills, lateral thinking, and judgement.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver reports quickly.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Mandarin; AI experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bottom-up fundamental research on a dedicated portfolio of companies across Financials (e.g., banks & insurance) and Commodities (e.g., metals & mining).
• Build company specific and industry financial models.
• Provide timely insights and investment recommendations to sales and clients.
• Motivate and guide team members.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects assigned by Head of Research and Management.
