Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of equity research experience, including 1-2 years buy-side exposure.
• Coverage of China and Hong Kong equities is required.
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Accountancy or quantitative major (Statistics/Math/CS).
• CFA qualification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of China A-share and H-share markets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bottom-up, in-depth fundamental research on companies and sectors.
• Evaluate valuations, financial performance, and strategic positioning.
• Develop clear, well-supported investment theses to justify recommendations.
• Generate and pitch high-conviction investment ideas.
• Stay informed on market developments and regulatory changes in China.
• Build a network of company management, suppliers, and analysts.
• Conduct meetings, site visits, and channel checks; interview experts.
• Analyze primary and alternative data to support investment views.
• Communicate investment strategies and insights to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Manager and team; contribute to discussions.
