Job summary

Watson Biotech (Hong Kong R&D Center, Hong Kong Science Park) invites an experienced R&D Deputy General Manager to drive CTC liquid biopsy and tumor IVD innovations. You will lead the Hong Kong R&D team in daily operations, shape core technology iterations, and guide clinical transformation of product lines.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical breakthroughs, end-to-end R&D, and alignment with ISO13485 and regulatory standards, ensuring timely delivery of advanced liquid biopsy

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree or above in Biomedical fields with solid theory in tumor diagnosis and cellular immunology.
• Core Experience: 10+ years of IVD tumor diagnosis R&D, including 3+ years in a senior technical role.
• Professional Skills: Proficient in cellular immunology-based IVD technologies (immunofluorescence, immunomagnetic beads, ELISA).
• Technical Competence: Able to build complete liquid biopsy tech systems and manage multiple parallel R&D projects.
• Comprehensive Quality: Strong technical communication and cross-team collaboration under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Technical Strategy & Roadmap: Track trends and form product roadmaps; iterate existing products and pre-research new tech.
• Full-cycle Technical R&D: End-to-end R&D of CTC and liquid biopsy IVD products, ISO13485 compliant; troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Innovation & Patent Layout: Drive frontier tech like CTC organoid culture; file patents to build barriers.
• Clinical Transformation & Verification: Optimize tech schemes with real clinical data; support lab-to-market transition.
• Technical Standardization & Industrial Landing: Set standardized R&D specs; coordinate with clinical, regulatory, and production teams; resolve registration issues.
• Responsible for other technical innovation tasks assigned by senior management.
