Job summary

Alpinestars is a global leader in performance protective equipment and apparel. We seek a Quality Manager to oversee supplier quality across Asia, ensuring product integrity from development through mass production.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of quality management experience in technical apparel and leather goods across multiple countries.
• Strong expertise in leather and technical product construction, paper patterns and print/embroidery performance across various materials.
• Proven supplier quality management experience in Asia, including audits, CAPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with protective gear certifications (e.g., CE) and material performance testing.
• Flexible, with strong cross‑functional collaboration skills and the ability to align diverse stakeholders.
• Business‑level English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage.
• High willingness to travel regularly throughout Asia.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement quality strategies for categories, aligning with Corporate Quality (in EU).
• Establish quality objectives, checkpoints and KPIs across development and production stages.
• Partner with R&D to support new developments, ensuring feasibility, material performance validation and supplier readiness.
• Assess risks across moulds, materials, suppliers, production processes and new developments.
• Define and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard quality and supply continuity.
• Monitor material quality and performance to meet durability, safety and performance standards through testing and audits.
• Maintain reporting flow with Corporate Quality and oversee supplier quality performance and continuous improvements.
• Conduct regular factory visits to evaluate production, quality systems and adherence to requirements.
• Support suppliers in preventive measures and robust quality controls for stable output.
• Ensure checkpoints from raw materials to final inspections; monitor deviations and coordinate resolutions.
• Maintain strong communication with Corporate Quality, R&D and Sourcing; provide updates on status and actions.
• Lead and mentor the quality team and third parties to ensure high performance and proactive problem-solving.
