Job summary

Tencent Cloud is seeking a senior Product Solution Architect to lead design and delivery of scalable cloud and database solutions for APAC clients. You will work with sales, product management, and field teams to tailor solutions addressing industry challenges.

You will represent Tencent in client discussions, oversee key projects, and drive product enhancements based on customer feedback. Strong leadership and bilingual communication (English/Chinese) are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/Engineering; cloud architecture certifications preferred (AWS/Azure).
• 5+ years in cloud solutions architecture, database architecture, and technical consulting; 3+ years in leadership.
• Deep cloud expertise (IaaS/PaaS, virtualization, DevOps), proficient in at least one major database (MySQL/SQL Server/PostgreSQL).
• Scripting languages (Python/Bash/PowerShell) advantageous; familiarity with enterprise IT tools.
• Strong consulting and client-facing capabilities; experience in technical assessments, POC demos, and solution testing.
• Excellent English and Chinese communication; able to present to executives and technical teams.

Job description

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and local field teams, to develop tailored solutions that address industry-specific challenges.

Client Engagement and Project Oversight:

Drive customer engagement strategies by representing Tencent in client discussions, aligning their technical and business needs with our cloud product offerings.

Oversee key client projects, ensuring seamless solution implementation, handling customer feedback, and recommending product enhancements based on customer insights.

Product and Market Development:

Provide strategic insights to influence product roadmap based on APAC market trends and customer feedback.

Leadership and Team Development:

Oversee a diverse team of Product Solution Architects, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.

Job Requirements

1.Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect), technical consulting, or relevant fields are highly preferred, which can demonstrate both technical depth and consulting professionalism.

2.Work Experience: 5+ years of comprehensive experience in a combination of cloud solutions architecture, database architecture, and technical consulting. A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, with experience in leading technical consulting projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving solution from demand analysis to implementation.

3.Technical Expertise (SA Core): In-depth expertise in cloud computing, particularly IaaS/PaaS solutions, virtualization technologies, and DevOps best practices. Advanced technical proficiency in at least one major database system (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), with a solid understanding of big data processing, network security, and enterprise storage solutions. Hands-on experience in cloud platform deployment, database optimization, architecture design iteration, and troubleshooting complex technical issues in production environments is required. Ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical architectures that align with business objectives, and to lead hands-on implementation of key technical modules.

4.Technical & Tool Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is advantageous, which can support automated deployment, problem troubleshooting, and efficiency improvement in both consulting and architecture work. Familiarity with common enterprise IT tools and platforms is a plus.

5.Consulting & Client-Facing Capabilities (Consultant Core): Exceptional client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record of listening to client needs, analyzing business pain points, and translating business requirements into high-value, actionable technical solutions. Hands-on experience in conducting technical assessments for clients, delivering proof-of-concept (POC) demos, and guiding clients through solution testing and acceptance. Strong ability to provide professional technical consulting, offer solution recommendations, and maintain long-term client relationships.

6.Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese. Ability to clearly present complex technical concepts, architecture designs, and consulting proposals to diverse audiences (including non-technical clients, executives, and technical teams), and to facilitate effective communication between clients and internal technical teams.
