Job summary

Macdonald & Company Limited is seeking a (Senior) Project Manager based in Macau to lead engineering projects from planning through execution, ensuring delivery against objectives. You will oversee schedules, budgets, quality and client relations across Macau, Hong Kong and regional teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in engineering consultancy, proven leadership of multidisciplinary projects, strong budgeting skills and excellent stakeholder communication.

• Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, fee quotations, tender submissions and client presentations.

• Monitor project scope, variations, risks and commercial issues, taking appropriate action where required.
• Support the recruitment, coaching and professional development of project team members.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification.


• At least 10 years of relevant experience within engineering consultancy, project management or engineering project delivery.


• Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects and project teams.


• Good knowledge of project planning, programme management and overall project execution.


• Strong commercial awareness, including project budgeting, fee management and profitability.


• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management capabilities.


• Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants and internal project teams.


• Previous exposure to projects in Macau, Hong Kong or the Greater Bay Area would be beneficial.


• Applicants with stronger experience and leadership exposure may be considered at a Senior Project Manager or higher level.


• Macau Resident ID holders are preferred, while candidates with the ability to work in Macau will have an advantage.
