Job summary

Friends of the Earth (HK) Charity Limited is seeking a competent (Senior) Officer, Programmes (Renewable Contract) in Hong Kong to assist the Manager with planning, coordinating, and implementing a range of events, campaigns, and fundraising activities. You will help foster relationships with corporate donors and partners, and identify new sponsorship opportunities.

The role requires a university degree and at least 4 years of relevant post-graduation experience, with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• A recognised university degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Environmental Studies or other relevant disciplines.
• At least 4 years of post-graduation relevant work experience.
• Experience in corporate account servicing, fundraising, event management, project management, or partnership development.
• Experience in the NGO, environmental, hospitality, or event-management sectors will be an advantage.
• Prior experience in outdoor event management is advantageous.
• Highly motivated, proactive, well organised and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
• A strong team player with good interpersonal, listening, presentation and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willing to work occasional non-regular hours, including outdoor duties, weekends and public holidays, when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager to plan, coordinate and implement various scales of public events, corporate campaigns, engagement activities, fundraising programmes, projects and events.
• Assist the Manager to develop and retain relationships with existing and potential corporate donors, sponsors and partners.
• Identify and develop new corporate engagement, sponsorship and fundraising opportunities to support organisational objectives and fundraising targets.
• Provide project management support on assigned projects, including budget monitoring, project timeline tracking, project implementation, and coordinating with vendors and relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare pre- and post-event reports, as well as final deliverables
• Maintain accurate records of sponsor communications, engagement activities and project progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
