Job summary

Charterhouse Limited's client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Hong Kong, seeks a Senior Production Engineer to oversee daily site operations, production planning, and cross-functional workflow execution. You will partner with the Production Manager to direct shop-floor activities and drive efficiency.

The role requires a hands-on leader with 2–5 years’ experience in regulated manufacturing, strong GMP knowledge, and a proven ability to manage line Supervisors and operators on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on production/manufacturing experience in a regulated environment.
• Proven track record in on-site people management (2+ years).
• Strong knowledge of GMP standards and pharmaceutical manufacturing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Production Manager to organize, schedule, and direct daily shop-floor manufacturing activities and site workflows.
• Provide strong, visible on-site leadership to shift supervisors and line operators.
• Monitor live production lines, address bottlenecks, and resolve disruptions to ensure on-time batch delivery.
• Draft, review, implement SOPs to align with regulatory requirements and site efficiency goals.
• Enforce GMP protocols and QA standards across all manufacturing stages.
• Collaborate with QC, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D teams for smooth NPI and line transitions.
