Job summary

Charterhouse Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to oversee daily site operations, production planning, and cross-functional workflow execution. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership on the shop floor and ensuring timely batch delivery in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate with the Production Manager, line supervisors, QC, Maintenance, and R&D to drive continuous improvement, implement SOPs, and uphold GMP and QA standards across all manufacturing stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical Engineering, Production Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of hands-on technical or supervisory experience in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience on-site people management and line supervision (2+ years preferred).
• Strong familiarity with GMP standards and pharmaceutical manufacturing guidelines.

To support ongoing facility expansion and continuous process optimization, they are seeking an ambitious, hands-on (Senior) Production Engineer to oversee daily site operations, production planning, and cross-functional workflow execution.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with the Production Manager to organize, schedule, and direct daily shop-floor manufacturing activities and site workflows.
• Provide strong, visible on-site leadership to shift supervisors and line operators, driving workforce engagement, high team morale, and operational discipline.
• Monitor live production lines, proactively address line bottlenecks, and resolve technical or procedural disruptions to ensure on-time batch delivery.
• Draft, review, implement, and SOPs to ensure full alignment with regulatory requirements and site efficiency goals.
• Enforce strict adherence to GMP protocols and internal QA standards across all manufacturing stages.
• Collaborate closely with QC, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to facilitate smooth NPI and line transitions.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical Engineering, Production Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on technical or supervisory experience in a regulated manufacturing/production environment.
• Proven track record in on-site people management and line supervision. Prior team management or supervisory experience (2+ years) is highly regarded.
• Strong familiarity with GMP standards and pharmaceutical manufacturing guidelines is strongly preferred.
