As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, driving roadmap execution, stakeholder alignment, and agile delivery while ensuring scalable and user-centric solutions that support business objectives.
The Role
- Define and manage the product roadmap for feature implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring a balance between new features, defect resolution, and addressing technical debt to maintain operational stability.
- Manage the delivery of both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of product management, engineers, and UI/UX designers to establish a clear vision of what needs to be built and effectively communicate that vision to the execution team of engineers.
- Translate requirements into actionable user stories and work closely with scrum teams to ensure prompt delivery of tasks. Take ownership of and maintain the Business Requirements Document (BRD), Product Requirements Document (PRD), and requirement story backlog and ensure readiness for sprint iterations.
- Work closely with the development team daily, optimizing task assignments and execution, assisting unblocking teams when necessary, and maintaining a frequent release cycle (aiming for continuous release).
- Develop key relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors, stay informed about their roadmaps, and influence the technical direction. Communicate project status, establish meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), track milestones, and gather stakeholder feedback. Additionally, collaborate and communicate with customers and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to standardizing processes, technologies, and the automation of low-value tasks. Actively participate in evaluating emerging technologies to support the company's business goals.
The Ideal Candidate
- Possess a degree or higher from a recognized university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Possess 5+ years of experience in software technical product management, preferably with experience in deploying native-cloud software.
- Possess 5+ years of experience as a Principal/ Senior Product Manager on enterprise-grade projects.
- Exhibit strong business acumen and an extensive understanding of China and global e-commerce and retail markets.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in gathering and understanding customer business requirements.
- Exhibit the ability to make methodical design trade-off decisions to achieve desired qualities in a solution, such as throughput, scalability, confidentiality and privacy, security, usability, and maintainability.
- Possess experience negotiating scope and dependencies, with strong influencing and persuasion skills to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups with varying priorities and needs.
- Show the ability to identify and clearly articulate concrete, actionable work units to address technical product challenges.
- Display a deep understanding of large distributed systems, workflow dependencies, and system integration.
- Have solid experience using agile development methodology practices and tools, such as Figma, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Demonstrate proficiency in BDD, TDD, and ATDD approaches.
- Possess solid experience in UMLs.
- Exhibit proficiency in prototyping tools.
- Be able to work under pressure and meet tight project schedules.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
