Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management (BAM) seeks a Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable platforms for engineers across the business. You will work with portfolio management, technology and data teams to deliver automated, reliable software at scale.

The role emphasizes SRE and DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and cloud/on‑prem environments. You will participate in on-call rotations and mentor teams to improve service stability and resilience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on SRE/DevOps in distributed systems.
• Strong Python or GoLang software engineering skills.
• Deep expertise with CI/CD platforms and automation of SDLC processes (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy).
• Experience with critical artifacts infrastructure serving millions of requests per day.
• Experience architecting scalable, testable software and infrastructure solutions.
• Deep expertise with containers and Kubernetes, including management/orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design and automate deployment pipelines and operational processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and developer autonomy.
• Champion SRE and DevOps best practices across cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines; write code for infrastructure optimization; manage operations, including on-call duties, Kubernetes, and training.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance service stability, scalability, and fault tolerance through mentoring, documentation, and hands-on support.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response, sharing responsibility for production reliability.
