Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in product, business analysis, technology, consulting, trading operations, or execution-related roles within financial services.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to break down complex workflows and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • Interest in electronic trading, execution workflows, and the intersection of business processes and technology.
  • Basic understanding of software-development processes and Agile methodologies; experience with Jira, Asana, or similar workflow-management tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across trading, business, product, and technology teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SQL required; experience with Python, Power BI, Visio, and MS Project is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of the equities trading lifecycle and settlement process preferred; familiarity with futures, options, and FX workflows is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate with attention to detail, and contribute effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic initiatives across BAM’s trading businesses, implementing new and enhanced workflows that improve scalability, usability, and efficiency—including initiatives that expand the firm’s electronic trading footprint and Central Liquidity Book capabilities.
  • Partner with traders, PMs, Business COOs, product managers, developers, and ETS to understand business needs, document current-state workflows, identify pain points, and help design practical solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into clear documentation, including business requirements documents, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate with technology teams throughout the development lifecycle to clarify business intent, prioritize requirements, track progress, and help resolve issues.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of platform migrations, new workflow rollouts, system maintenance, and other trading-technology change initiatives.
  • Support onboarding of new users, teams, and workflows onto execution platforms, helping ensure a smooth and consistent business experience.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new trading-system features; document test cases and results, identify defects, support sign-off, and help coordinate rollout plans.
  • Lead and support working sessions with traders, PMs, and cross-functional stakeholders to review existing workflows, gather feedback, demonstrate new capabilities, and support adoption of released features.
  • Communicate project status, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder feedback clearly and proactively to senior business and technology partners.
  • Help maintain a structured view of the team’s initiatives, priorities, product backlog, and key workflow documentation.

The Execution Strategy team translates business and trading needs into practical, scalable tools, workflows, and solutions. The team partners closely with Execution Trading Systems (ETS), trading teams, Portfolio Managers, and technology stakeholders to prioritize and deliver platform capabilities, workflow enhancements, and product features.

As an Analyst, Execution Strategy, you will serve as a bridge between the business and trading technology verticals. You will help improve the trader and PM onboarding experience, support platform migrations and ongoing maintenance, and ensure evolving business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and addressed as BAM continues to advance its trading stack.

What You’ll Do
