Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management (BAM) seeks an Analyst, Execution Strategy, in Hong Kong to bridge business and trading technology across asset classes, including equities, futures, options, and FX. You will help improve onboarding experiences, support platform migrations, and ensure evolving business needs are clearly defined and addressed as BAM advances its trading stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years in product, business analysis, technology, consulting, trading ops, or execution-related roles within financial services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Interest in electronic trading, execution workflows, and the intersection of business processes and technology.
• Basic understanding of software-development processes and Agile; Jira/Asana experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SQL; Python, Power BI, Visio, MS Project desirable.
• Understanding of equities trading lifecycle; futures, options, FX workflows a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic initiatives across BAM’s trading businesses to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Partner with traders, PMs, business COOs, product managers, developers, and ETS to document workflows and design solutions.
• Translate business requirements into clear documents, processes, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with technology teams through the development lifecycle to clarify intent and prioritize requirements.
• Assist with platform migrations, new workflows, and system maintenance.
• Support onboarding of new users and workflows onto execution platforms.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate rollout plans.
• Lead sessions with traders and cross-functional teams to review workflows and adoption of features.
• Communicate project status, timelines, risks, and feedback to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain a structured view of initiatives, priorities, and backlog.
