Job summary

CLSA in Hong Kong is seeking an Engineer for Platform Server Engineering focused on automating BAU and project activities in platform/server/database areas. You will evaluate new tech via PoCs, analyze infrastructure, and lead modernization efforts.

Collaborate with Application Development and Support teams to deliver platforms tools, manage platform applications, and ensure production environments are stable, scalable, and secure.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Linux administration experience.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Foreman).
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SQL tuning and database performance.
• Experience with databases and storage platforms.
• Experience with systems, server hardware, and technical documentation.
• Strong documentation and meeting facilitation skills.
• Excellent English communication; Chinese proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help automate configuration, deployments, monitoring, and management in platform services area.
• Act as SME in platform tooling and applications.
• Automate repeated tasks and alerts in platform services area.
• Develop and manage in-house web applications in the Platform area.
• Collaborate with App Development and Support teams to deliver tools for new services.
