Job summary

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited is seeking an experienced operations professional to oversee branch controls, risk management and procedures. The role focuses on designing inspection programs, enforcing guidelines, and guiding staff to maintain strong operating discipline.

The ideal candidate will have banking experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Review, revise and comment on operations procedure manuals. Follow up manual preparation status.
• Design and perform on-site and off-site inspection programs to ensure adherence to internal and external procedures and guidelines.
• Manage and monitor the operational activities of operations departments and branches to ensure smooth operation processes and adequate controls are in place.
• Develop assessment indicators for branch operational management, conduct regular evaluation on branch operations, and provide guidance for improving branch operations quality.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to the department and branch operation staff, assist them in related assignments.
• Implement risk related projects which can facilitate the risk management process for both branch and operational activities.

Job Requirements

• University graduate in banking or related disciplines is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of banking experience, with at least 2 years' experience in setting up controls measures in branch operations and back office.
• Experience in formulating the branch control checklist and conducting regular checking to ensure that the staff adheres to the branch operating procedures.
• Good understanding on branch operational procedures, banking products and services.
• Familiar with banking regulations and requirements, as well as the Bank’s internal policy.
• Good analytical, communication and inter-personal skills with strong risk control sense, able to work independently.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua., as well as good reporting and writing skills.
• Candidate with project management experience is preferable.
• Conversant with MS Office such as Word, Excel.
