Job summary

China Taiping Life Insurance (Hong Kong) Company Limited seeks a Senior Officer/Assistant Manager, Operations (Underwriting, Life Insurance) to support underwriting system development, rule engines and the POS platform. You will collect and analyze underwriting information to prepare user requirements and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery.

Job description

Senior Officer/ Assistant Manager, Operations (Underwriting, Life Insurance)

Contribute to the development of the underwriting core system, the underwriting rule engine and the point-of-sales platform;

Collect and analyze information from an underwriting perspective to prepare user requirements.

Manage project timelines and progress, and ensure the quality and timely delivery of assigned projects;

Liaise with users, IT and vendors to design and enhance business solutions;

Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and conduct end-user training. Support ad-hoc production issues;

Analyzing underwriting data to identify trends, reporting findings and making data-driven recommendations for improvements;

Perform underwriting risk assessments within the delegated authority limit to ensure accurate, fair, prompt and appropriate underwriting decisions. Ensure that assigned new business cases comply with the company's policy and procedures, underwriting guidelines and service pledge;

Work closely with stakeholders, e.g. legal, compliance, IT, product, business development and reinsurers, to support the development and review of new initiatives;

Others job assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree Holder; Minimum 4 years solid underwriting experience in life insurance;

Good integrity, quality-oriented, good interpersonal and communications skills;

A solutions thinker, strong analytical skills and independent;

Open minded, flexible, proactive and stress positive;

Good leadership and team building skills;

Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) ;

Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua;

Candidate with professional qualifications (such as FLMI, ACS, ALU or equivalent qualifications) will be given priority consideration.
