Job summary

Swing Consulting Ltd. seeks a Senior Network Engineer to act as technical lead for government IT infrastructure in Hong Kong. You will design, implement and monitor wired enterprise networks, coordinate requirements, provide design and cost estimation, and ensure high availability.

The role requires 6+ years in large-scale networks, with recent hands-on work on BGP, OSPF, QoS, TCP/IP and related technologies, plus fluent English and Cantonese. CCNA/CCNP/CCIE are preferred certificates.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
• 6+ years’ experience in large-scale wired enterprise network infrastructure, with recent 3 years in supporting/implementing.
• In-depth experience with networking tech: BGP, OSPF, QoS, TCP/IP, Multicast, ACL, VLAN, VRF, 802.1x.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese.

• Provide high-level system analysis and day-to-day support for problem diagnosis and maintenance.

• Maintain smooth system operation by monitoring health, performance and uptime.
• Produce comprehensive system reporting and capacity planning analyses.
• Provide after-hours network/system support as needed.

• Collect, analyze and finalize requirement specifications of IT solutions, including providing design, cost estimation, and configuration details of network equipment, power protection and control devices.
• Provide high level system analysis and day-to-day technical support to problem diagnosis, solving and maintenance.
• Ensure quality assurance of IT solutions, define support needs for users and provide expert level support.
• Handle change requests, review the standards and guidelines of IT solutions.
• Ensure smooth systems operation by monitoring systems health, performance and supporting facilities around the clock.
• Provide comprehensive system reporting and trend analysis for capacity planning and resource sizing purposes.
• Provide after office hours network/system support.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
• At least 6+ years’ qualification experience with recent 3 years in supporting and implementation of large scale wired enterprise network infrastructure.
• In-depth work experience on networking technologies (e.g. BGP, OSPF, QoS, TCP/IP, Multicast, ACL, VLAN, VRF, 802.1x).
• Extensive technical experience on wired network design, implementation, migration, support and monitoring.
• Proficient written and spoken communication skills in English and Cantonese.
