Qualifications

• 10 years of financial services data governance experience (3 in management).
• Proven track record designing and overseeing data and AI governance frameworks.

Working for a leading Bank, you'll act as Team Head of Data Governance, to drive the implementation of governance and quality frameworks for the Bank’s data and AI ecosystems, enhancing competitive advantage and elevating customer experiences through strategic data utilization. Formulate data and AI strategies, ensuring full alignment with and adherence to the Bank’s governance framework, including policies, standards, performance metrics, processes, and architectural guidelines.

Core Responsibilities

• Be responsible for data governance specialists, analysts, and engineers to establish unified data standards on Informatica, driving maximum value from bank-wide data assets.
• Design and execute the enterprise data strategy, building comprehensive governance, catalog, and quality frameworks from the ground up.
• Be a pioneer for the bank's AI governance framework and co-delivered training sessions with Risk and Architecture teams, interpreting HKMA circulars and compliance case studies.
• Apply AI to streamline metadata management, achieving security classification for 1.2 million assets and implementing full data lineage across the enterprise data warehouse.
• Steer the delivery of high-priority regulatory initiatives, including Basel reporting, digital customer engagement, and compliance reporting.
• Champion the data model and architecture design while mentoring team members to elevate overall technical expertise.
• Monitor evolving trends in data and AI governance, identifying new business opportunities that leverage data assets to drive operational efficiency and growth.

Role Requirements

• The ideal candidate has 10 years of experience (3 in management) in financial services or Fintech, with deep knowledge of banking operations, data governance, and Master Data Management.
• Proven track record in designing and overseeing data and AI governance frameworks.
• Deep familiarity with industry-leading practices in data quality management and data protection.
• Strong awareness of regulatory requirements and emerging trends in data and AI.
• Comprehensive knowledge of banking business and operating models, coupled with a thorough grasp of the local regulatory landscape.
• Results-driven, with a proven ability to perform under pressure.
