Job description

We're looking for a consumer-minded, curious, can-do attitude, enjoys taking initiative, creative, collaborative and overall amazing teammate to help us obsess how we bring our product innovation stories and activation to life at retail!

We're seeking for an experienced, people-first retail brand marketing leader who can turn GEO direction into marketplace success. This individual will lead the adaptation and execution of Territory retail brand strategies, ensuring they are relevant for Hong Kong and Macau consumers and effectively delivered across owned retail and strategic wholesale partners.

A passion for sport and stores appreciated, and a dedication to understanding what makes our consumer connect with our brand in-store is at the core of this role. Retail truly is detail, so the ideal candidate will be very well organized, loves working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving, collaborative and love sweating the details of every touchpoint for our consumer!

This leader will immerse themselves in the business, continuously identifying opportunities to evolve how we tell product stories, drive traffic, and deepen consumer connection. They will champion elevated retail experiences that inspire consumers and strengthen our marketplace presence across every touchpoint.

This role sits at the intersection of brand, retail, and marketplace. You will adapt seasonal and always-on stories for the local consumer, then own them through briefing, production, in-store execution, training, and measurement.

The ideal candidate brings strong retail marketing expertise and a proven track record of building high-performing, inclusive, and engaged teams. They thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, navigating complexity with agility while remaining grounded, accountable, and calm under pressure.

Role impact

You will own retail campaign adaptation and execution for Nike Hong Kong & Macau so that global and Greater China direction lands with local relevance, commercial impact, and brand consistency across Nike Direct and partner doors.

You will raise the standard of how product is presented, how campaigns are installed, and how store teams talk about product — while staying on brief, on brand, on time, and on budget.

You will inspire the team to think out of box, create impact in the marketplace and build a holistic end-to-end customer journey.

You will play a critical role in the development of the Nike Store concept portfolio, and you are a key functional partner in shaping the HK&M retail transformation & expansion plans.

A key part of this role is to provide leadership, direction and mentorship to your team.

Your team will be responsible for understanding both the art and science of marketing; obsessing the business, consumer insights and develop creative ways we tell our product stories in store.

Who you’ll work with

You will report directly into the Director Marketing for Hong Kong and Macau. You will be part of a team that collaborates daily with the following teams all with the goal to tell amazing stories, deliver impactful experiences and increase awareness and sales in the marketplace.

  • Greater China Retail Marketing, Hong Kong & Macau Territory Brand Marketing, Visual Merchandising & Styling (VMS), and Creative
  • Merchandising, Demand, Operations, and Training
  • Agencies, production vendors, and install partners

You will be the connector between geo playbooks and territory reality.

What you will do
  • Translate geo campaign guidelines, concept maps, and seasonal brand priorities into Hong Kong & Macau retail plans that reflect territory consumer culture, sport moments, door hierarchy, and commercial priorities.
  • Own end-to-end retail campaign planning and execution: briefing, localization of assets and copy, production, installation calendars, in-store storytelling, and recap.
  • Programme campaign stories across Nike Direct and key partner doors, ensuring the right story lands in the right door with the right intensity.
  • Partner with VMS and store teams so product journeys, graphics, fixtures, and theatre work as one consumer experience.
  • Maintain regular alignment with Greater China / Geo teams on plans, risks, and recaps; surface local insights that improve future seasons.
Flawless execution & obsession with detail
  • Set and enforce execution standards for every campaign touchpoint — from asset accuracy and brand codes to install quality, timing, and store readiness.
  • Build clear playbooks, checklists, and working processes so vendors and internal teams deliver consistently, even under tight seasonal windows.
  • Be on the floor when it matters: store visits, install reviews, and issue resolution until the standard is met.
  • Track execution quality, consumer response, and business impact; close the loop with action, not just reporting.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the team(s) responsible for visual merchandising, retail campaign delivery, and product training.
  • Build capability in VM standards, seasonal presentation, campaign install, and how store athletes talk about product and stories.
  • Design and run training programs (seasonal and always-on) so retail teams can execute campaigns and sell product with confidence and brand voice.
  • Create a high-performance, detail-oriented culture: clear goals, feedback, career development, and "win as a team" ownership.
  • Manage vendors and agencies as an extension of the team — brief well, hold the standard, and develop long‑term partners.
Budget management
  • Own retail marketing budgets for campaigns, VM, production, training, and related activations across the season and year.
  • Plan, forecast, track, and reallocate spend against territory priorities; protect ROI and brand quality at the same time.
  • Manage vendor costing, purchase orders, and invoice accuracy; flag risks early.
  • Report spend vs. plan with a clear view of what the money bought in execution quality and marketplace impact.
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail, Visual Merchandising, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years in retail marketing or visual merchandising in a global, multi-door, or specialty retail environment; sportswear / footwear / apparel strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience adapting global or regional campaigns for a local market and driving them through to in-store execution.
  • Demonstrated obsession with detail and a track record of flawless (or near-flawless) campaign and store execution under pressure.
  • People leadership: you have built, coached, or directly developed teams in VM, retail marketing, and/or store/product training.
  • Solid budget ownership — planning, tracking, vendor management, and trade-off decisions.
  • Deep understanding of Hong Kong and Macau retail and consumer culture; ability to localize without losing the brand.
  • An impeccable ability for balancing creativity with business needs, inspired by the “now and next” and keeping the consumer at the center of the work.
  • Able to work as part of a matrix, with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally towards a common goal.
  • Strong project management; comfortable running multiple seasonal workstreams at once.
  • Fluent English and Chinese (Cantonese essential for store and partner work; Mandarin a plus).
  • Passion for sport, product, and how Nike shows up in the city.
