Job summary

Bitget seeks an experienced SOX/ICFR professional in Hong Kong to lead readiness for post-IPO audits and maintain a robust internal controls framework. You will map processes, identify KFRCs, and enforce duties segregation while guiding management and cross-functional teams.

With 7+ years in SOX or related audits, you will ensure compliance with COSO and PCAOB standards, coordinate with external auditors, and stay abreast of regulatory updates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SOX compliance, internal controls, or audit
• Deep understanding of SOX, PCAOB standards, and COSO
• Hands-on SOX implementation for a listed company or IPO
• Excellent English and Chinese communication with global stakeholders
• Crypto industry knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Drive SOX readiness roadmap and execution for post-IPO audit cycle
• Establish and maintain an ICFR framework with mapped processes and controls
• Advise management and business teams on detective, preventive, and corrective controls
• Supervise end-to-end SOX execution: documentation, testing, remediation, monitoring
• Conduct risk assessments of business processes and KFRCs
• Lead audit deficiency remediation and liaise with external auditors on testing
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry practices

What you'll do

• Drive SOX readiness roadmap and execution, ensuring readiness for the first post-IPO audit cycle.
• Establish and maintain a robust ICFR framework by mapping business processes, identifying key financial reporting controls (KFRCs), and enforcing segregation of duties (SoD).
• Provide expertise to management / partner with business teams for implementing or enhancing controls over financial reporting , advising on the necessary detective, preventive, and corrective measures for efficient operations.
• Supervise end-to-end SOX execution , managing control documentation, design and operating effectiveness testing, deficiency remediation, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
• risk assessments of business processes and key financial reporting controls (KFRCs) to identify risks, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Lead audit deficiency remediation and serve as a primary liaison with external auditors on testing strategies, control reliance, and PCAOB standards.
• Stay abreast of regulatory updates and evolving industry methodologies.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and certification in accounting/auditing (CPA, CIA, CISA).
• 7+ years of experience in SOX compliance, internal controls, or external/internal audit, preferably with Big 4, consulting firms, or Fintech/Tech enterprises.
• Deep understanding of SOX, PCAOB auditing standards, and COSO.
• Hands-on experience leading or substantially supporting a SOX implementation for a listed public company or during a successful IPO process.
• Ability to delve into details while effectively presenting results to management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese to engage effectively with global stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the crypto industry is a plus.
