Job summary

Bitget is seeking a senior financial accounting leader as Head of Group Consolidation & Reporting to manage multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional consolidated statements. You will partner with senior stakeholders, oversee the external audit, and drive technical accounting guidance across the group.

The role requires CPA or equivalent, 12+ years of consolidation experience, and strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, with fluency in English and Chinese.

What you'll do

• Act as a trusted deputy and thought partner to the Head of Group Consolidation & Reporting, working closely together on complex, judgment-intensive matters across the function.
• Support and, where appropriate, represent the Head of the function in discussions with senior stakeholders across the business, including complex accounting positions and structuring decisions.
• Own and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for a complex, multi-currency, and multi-jurisdictional corporate structure, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery.
• Review and approve the work of the team, ensuring compliance with group accounting policies, and providing technical guidance on complex or judgmental matters before escalation.
• Lead the identification and quantification of differences between the group's financials under IFRS and US GAAP, and oversee preparation of GAAP bridge documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for the group's external auditor, managing the overall annual audit process, timeline, and resolution of complex audit matters.
• Work closely with regional finance teams, technical accounting, tax, finance systems, and internal controls to ensure consistent, high-quality group reporting that is technically sound and audit-ready.
• Play a key role in supporting the Head of the function on strategic initiatives (e.g., capital structuring, fundraising, M&A due diligence, IPO readiness matters, business valuation), often as the primary hands‑on lead once direction is set.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and career development to the team, building bench strength and technical capability across the function.

What you'll need

• Qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) is required.
• 12+ years of work experience in financial accounting, with significant, hands‑on exposure to group consolidation and financial reporting for complex, multi‑entity organizations.
• Big 4 experience is required; US‑listed company experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS is required; solid working knowledge of US GAAP is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to build trust and operate effectively as a senior partner to department leadership, including representing them credibly with other stakeholders.
• Sound judgment and a strong track record of reliability in senior‑level working relationships.
• Demonstrated track record independently leading complex group consolidation processes, technical accounting analysis, and audit management.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring a team.
• Experience and knowledge of fintech, Web3, digital assets, start‑ups, SEC reporting, internal controls/SOX readiness, audit, and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) are highly advantageous.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to exercise sound, independent judgement on complex, ambiguous, or sensitive matters, and to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence and polish to engage directly with senior stakeholders.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
