Job summary

CUHK Medical Centre Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Leader to shape growth strategies for our hospital and clinics in Hong Kong. You will drive market analysis, strategic planning, and business-case development while leading cross-border referrals and partnerships.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or related disciplines.
At least 10 years' relevant experience in business development, strategic planning, healthcare management, or related functions within the healthcare industry, including at least 7 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of the local healthcare market; exposure to Mainland China and Greater Bay Area would be advantageous.
Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical skills.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the hospital's growth objectives, and support clinic business in strategic planning and business case development.
Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, and conduct market research and feasibility studies for new services, centres of excellence, and expansion projects.
Identify opportunities for cross-border referral and healthcare pathways to support business growth and market expansion.
Drive the planning and launch of new medical services, specialty centres, and healthcare initiatives in line with the hospital's strategic priorities.
Manage relationships and negotiate business terms with key corporate clients and insurance partners.
Monitor and analyse business development KPIs, patient volumes, referral trends, and revenue performance to support strategic decision-making.
Undertake other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned by supervisor(s)

Job Requirements

Holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or related disciplines
At least 10 years' relevant experience in business development, strategic planning, healthcare management, or related functions within the healthcare industry, of which at least 7 years should be in a managerial position preferably in sizeable organizations.
Sound knowledge of the local healthcare market; exposure to Mainland China and Greater Bay Area healthcare markets would be an advantage
Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical skills
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin

Compensation and Employment Terms

Appointment will be made on a 3-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
