JMC Legal Recruitment is assisting a leading entertainment technology company in Hong Kong in hiring a Senior Legal Counsel. Based in Hong Kong, you will lead a small legal team and oversee cross-border regulatory compliance for its international operations and entertainment platform.

You will review commercial contracts, internal policies, manage external counsel and litigation budgets, liaise with government bodies, and oversee corporate governance and company secretarial matters.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified lawyer with a common law law degree.
• 6–10 years' PQE with a top law firm and in-house tech platform experience.
• Fintech/crypto experience is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential; Cantonese is advantageous.

Due to expansion, this leading entertainment technology company is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to be based in Hong Kong to:

• Lead a small legal team to ensure the company is compliant with international laws and regulations regarding its international operations and entertainment platform in common law jurisdictions
• Review commercial contracts and internal policies to ensure that they are reflective of up to date regulations
• Manage external counsel including overseeing budget considerations regarding litigation matters
• Liaise with government and regulatory bodies regarding cross border compliance
• Oversee corporate governance and company secretarial matters

To qualify, you will have:

• Studied at a top tier university and have a legal qualification from a common law jurisdiction with 6-10 years' PQE gained with a leading law firm and in-house experience from a technology platform
• Fintech/crypto experience would be advantageous
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential whilst Cantonese would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment is necessary
