Job summary

eFinancialCareers Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer in Hong Kong to architect, build and scale core backend services. You will design RESTful APIs, implement event-driven messaging, and work with the FIX protocol, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with product and operations teams in a hands-on role, ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability in a cloud-native, AWS-based environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend Java development experience
• Strong expertise in Spring Framework (Spring Boot)
• Deep experience with microservices and event-driven architectures (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Mandatory knowledge of FIX protocol
• Solid DevOps foundation with CI/CD and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficient in designing RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) and enterprise integration patterns

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain robust Java-based backend services on Kubernetes
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and manage event-driven messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ)
• Work with FIX protocol for transaction processing
• Collaborate with product and operations teams for CI/CD deployments
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot complex production issues
