Job summary

HKEX, located in Hong Kong, is hiring a motivated System Development Manager to oversee the full software development lifecycle for listing division web applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, deploy, and support mission-critical systems in a dynamic market.

The role requires senior-level experience, strong leadership, and expertise in API design, security, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in development, implementation, and support of mission-critical, enterprise-scale web applications.
• Proven experience as a Senior System Analyst or equivalent role, managing vendors throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Knowledge of application security, microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and scalability best practices.
• Experience with SPA, API governance, RESTful services, and API documentation standards such as OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Proven experience in leading QA activities for critical application systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and release management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements and propose scalable technical solutions.
• Define and execute testing activities to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met.
• Support application delivery across the project lifecycle from analysis to deployment.
• Coordinate with development teams and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting technical excellence and learning.
