Job summary

HKEX is seeking a System Development Manager to lead design, development, and production support for our mission-critical web applications used by the Listing Division. You will oversee full SDLC activities, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with IT, business users, and external vendors to ensure reliable and compliant systems.

This role requires at least 8 years in IT, strong Java/JavaScript/.NET and cloud experience, and excellent communication in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 8 years of solid IT experience with a focus on mission-critical business applications.
• Experience in application operations and support within highly regulated and compliance-driven environments.
• Hands-on application development experience using Java, JavaScript, .Net framework, Oracle/SQL Server.
• Good knowledge and experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server and web technologies.
• Strong understanding in microservice architecture, container-based application design and cloud technologies.
• Familiar with software development and DevOps tools, including Maven, GIT, Jenkins, dockers and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Responsibilities

• Manage and participate in activities of whole SDLC phases, from requirement analysis, design, documentation, system development, testing, deployment to support.
• Plan and perform regular system maintenance tasks such as technology refreshment, system performance monitoring and review, vulnerability management, production incident resolution.
• Lead and coach junior team members.
• Liaise with other IT teams, business users and external vendors.

Listing Systems team is responsible for the design and implementation of all of our applications systems for our Listing Division. We are now hiring a motivated and energetic System Development Manager to join us.

You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support of modern web applications used by all the listed companies.
