Job summary

IP&E GBA Limited, part of Citadel Pacific Group, seeks a Senior IT Application Specialist to support and optimize our application landscape across business functions. You will work with the Head of IT to deliver IT solutions aligned with business goals, driving digital transformation and continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on ERP/CRM experience, strong project delivery skills, and collaboration with stakeholders to streamline processes and ensure reliable system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in application support, business systems administration, or IT project delivery.
• Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, and other operational/industrial applications.
• Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and stakeholder engagement across functions.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence or similar tools.
• Knowledge of IT operations, governance, data flows, integrations, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain application landscape in partnership with IT Business Partner.
• Provide Level 1 application support and coordinate issue resolution with vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships, performance reviews, service delivery and OPEX monitoring.
• Maintain application documentation, master data, and enhancement roadmaps.
• Identify and implement system improvements to support evolving business needs.
• Lead projects from initiation to go-live, including budgeting, requirements, testing, deployment and hypercare.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior IT Application Specialist is responsible for supporting application-related initiatives across various business functions. Working closely with the Head of IT and key stakeholders, this role will help enhance business applications, optimize operational processes, and ensure the effective delivery of IT solutions that align with business objectives. The position plays a critical role in maintaining application performance, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and driving continuous improvement within the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Application Management

• Support and maintain the organisation's application landscape in partnership with IT Business Partner.
• Provide Level 1 application support and coordinate issue resolution with vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships, including performance reviews, service delivery, and OPEX monitoring.
• Maintain application documentation, master data, and enhancement roadmaps.
• Identify and implement system improvements to support evolving business needs.

Business Process Improvement

• Collaborate with IT Business Partner and business stakeholders to streamline and standardise business processes.
• Analyse workflows and identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and value creation.
• Support business process mapping, requirements gathering, and project scoping activities.

Project Delivery

• Act as a Project Manager and lead application and system implementation projects from initiation to go-live.
• Manage project activities, including business case preparation, budgeting, requirements gathering, development coordination, testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and hypercare support.
• Coordinate vendors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.

Application Support & Continuous Improvement

• Troubleshoot application-related issues and support incident management activities.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of recurring system issues.
• Support user training, adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in application support, business systems administration, IT project delivery, or a related area.
• Hands-on experience supporting or delivering projects involving ERP, CRM, and other operational or industrial applications.
• Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and stakeholder engagement across different business functions.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project and collaboration platforms.
• Good understanding of IT operations, governance frameworks, data flows, system integrations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
• Exposure to the energy, utilities, infrastructure, or industrial sectors is an advantage.
