Michael Page is representing a well-established professional services firm in Hong Kong seeking an IT Manager responsible for day-to-day technical support, infrastructure management, and business applications.

The role partners with stakeholders, leads IT strategy, ensures security and continuity, and oversees vendor relationships, budgets, and projects, requiring strong English and Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years IT experience across infrastructure, applications and user support.
• Experience in a professional services environment preferred.
• Standalone/independent IT professional supporting a Hong Kong office environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Experience acting as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst for application implementation and enhancement projects.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Application Platforms (EAP) and workflow automation solutions, such as ReportNow, with vendor coordination and user support.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Hands-on, self-motivated, and capable of balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational support.
• Experience in financial services, professional services, or other regulated industries would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary IT contact for the Hong Kong office, providing day-to-day technical support and resolving user issues across hardware, software, and business applications.
• Lead the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, cybersecurity controls, and end-user computing environments.
• Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring technology supports organizational growth and operational requirements.
• Serve as a business partner to stakeholders by gathering and analyzing business requirements, recommending technology solutions, and driving process improvements.
• Manage the full lifecycle of business application initiatives, including requirements gathering, project coordination, vendor management, system implementation, testing (UAT), user training, and post-go-live support.
• Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of enterprise applications to ensure optimal performance and user adoption.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, system integrators, and technology service providers, ensuring service quality and timely delivery.
• Monitor IT security, system availability, and business continuity measures to safeguard company data and operations.
• Manage IT budgets, technology procurement, software licensing, and IT asset inventories.
• Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices while promoting continuous improvement across the organization.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience with broad exposure across infrastructure, applications, and user support.
• Prior experience within a professional services environment is highly preferred.
• Proven experience operating as a standalone or highly independent IT professional supporting a Hong Kong office environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Experience acting as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst for application implementation and enhancement projects, including requirements gathering, vendor coordination, testing, and user training.
• Demonstrated track record in managing technology projects and working effectively with external vendors and service providers.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Application Platforms (EAP) and workflow automation solutions, such as ReportNow or similar enterprise systems, with experience in system administration, enhancement, vendor coordination, user support, and business process optimization.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Hands‑on, self‑motivated, and capable of balancing strategic initiatives with day-to‑day operational support.
• Experience in financial services, professional services, or other regulated industries would be an advantage.Excellent command of English and Chinese
