Job summary

Ambit Geospatial Solution Limited seeks a hands-on Senior System Analyst to lead analysis, design and alignment of a large government IT project in Hong Kong. You will guide development, ensure compliance with government standards, and drive deliverables from requirements through production rollout.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in enterprise software and system analysis, strong Java EE experience, and proficiency in PostgreSQL, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of enterprise software development and system analysis.
• 2–3 years in a Senior SA or Lead SA role.
• Hands-on Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and RESTful API design.
• Proficient PostgreSQL data modelling, SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD.
• Strong English and Cantonese; deliverables in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and business workflow analysis with government users.
• Drive system design and deliverables per HKSARG standards (BRS/SRS, SA&D, SDS).
• Translate requirements into technical specs, API designs and data models.
• Oversee front-end, back-end and database design; guide devs and testers.
• Chair project meetings and manage changes through closure.
