Job summary

PCCW GLOBAL Limited in Hong Kong seeks an senior engineering leader to drive design, planning and implementation of global transmission optical networks and video/ethernet services. You will lead a team, manage vendors, and coordinate with Product and Pre-sales on opportunities.

The role requires 10+ years in data centers or telecom operators, deep knowledge of Ethernet, DWDM/OTN/SDH, and experience with Agile/SAFe practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology or related discipline.
10+ years’ experience in Data Centre, telecom operators, or vendors.
Strong knowledge of Ethernet, DWDM, OTN, SDH, MPLS-TP and related protocols.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering design, planning and implementation for global transmission optical infrastructure and video/ethernet service networks.
Participate in RFPs, evaluate new technologies and vendor products for cost-efficient solutions.
Interface with Product and Pre-sales to capture new opportunities and requirements.
Manage contractors to install, commission, test and implement network equipment and overseas POPs.
Support NOC for tier 2 trouble shooting and backbone system restoration activities.
Drive Agile and SAFe transformation for improved efficiency and deliverables.
Prepare and manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets for transmission platforms and vendors.
Provide technical consultancy to other departments and produce project documentation.
