Job summary

Our client in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead a team of engineers in fiber network planning and design. You will test equipment, analyze project requirements and collaborate with users, administrators and engineers on system modifications or technology purchases.

The role involves managing contractors, implementing renovation projects, and monitoring network performance. Strong leadership, PM skills, and proficiency in PC applications are essential, and shift duties

Qualifications

• University degree in Electronic or Communication Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in network infrastructures and supervisory work preferred.
• Familiar with CATV/CABD/SMATV networks.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in PC applications.
• Shift duties may be required.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities, team player.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers for fiber network planning and design.
• Test and evaluate network equipment.
• Analyze customer and engineering project requirements.
• Consult with users, administrators and engineers on requirements for system changes or purchases.
• Implement system renovation projects with technical staff, engineers, installers and vendors.
• Manage contractors for implementation work.
• Monitor and analyze network performance, traffic, security and capacity.
• Liaise with authorities, consultants, contractors and internal parties.
