Job summary

West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is seeking a communications professional to advance partnerships and public engagement across government, corporate and community partners. The role covers strategic outreach, stakeholder engagement, event coordination and brand strengthening across the West Kowloon District.

You will collaborate with external agencies, manage PR and communications materials, support corporate events and delegation visits, and assist daily team operations.

Qualifications

  • University degree or above in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in CSR, community engagement, public relations, events management, media relations and corporate communications.
  • Experience engaging government bodies, District Councils, NGOs and community groups.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player; ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines; creative and dynamic.
  • Able to execute projects and events independently with guidance; attention to detail; flexible.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage.
  • Able to work irregular hours including weekends and public holidays if required.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement and outreach initiatives with government bodies, corporates, community organisations and other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with arts and cultural programme partners, District Councils, community groups, NGOs and corporate partners for public engagement and partnerships.
  • Work with external agencies, outsourced vendors and community partners on public engagement, PR, marketing and partnership initiatives as necessary.
  • Assist in implementing corporate events, community engagement programmes and delegation visits to strengthen the brand image and WestK, including supporting event planning and execution, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare corporate communications materials including news summaries, papers, presentations and press releases.
  • Assist with administrative and coordination work for daily operation of the team.
  • Drive and execute ad-hoc communications, engagement and partnership related-projects when required.
  • Performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)You will be responsible for:supporting the development and implementation of strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement and outreach initiatives to enhance the Authority's connections with government bodies, corporates, community organisations and other key stakeholders;coordinating with arts and cultural programme partners, District Councils, community groups, NGOs, corporate partners, professional bodies, or other government organisations for public engagement, community outreach and partnership collaborations;working with external agencies, outsourced vendors and community partners on public engagement, community outreach, public relations (PR), marketing, and partnership initiatives, as necessary;assisting in implementing corporate events, community engagement programmes, partnership initiatives and delegation visits to strengthen the brand image of the Authority and WestK, including supporting event planning and execution, and liaising with internal and external key stakeholders, including government organisations, community groups and other concerned parties;preparing corporate communications materials including news summaries, papers, presentations and press releases;assisting with administrative and coordination work for daily operation of the team;driving and executing ad-hoc communications, engagement and partnership related-projects when required; andperforming any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.You should:possess a recognised university degree or above in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related discipline;have at least 3 years of relevant and solid experience in corporate social responsibility, community engagement public relations, events management, media relations and corporate communications;have solid experience in engaging government bodies, District Councils, NGOs and community groups;have strong interpersonal and communications skills, good team player, multi-tasking, able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure, creative and dynamic;able to execute projects and events independently with guidance to achieve the engagement objectives and demonstrate strong attention to details and have a flexible approach to work;have excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; proficient in Putonghua will be an advantage; andable to work irregular hours at weekends and public holidays if required.For interested parties, please submit your application with detailed CV on or before following date.
