Job summary

Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) is seeking a Building Services/Mechanical Engineering professional in Hong Kong to oversee site activities and coordinate with clients and subcontractors. The role includes tender support, budgeting, drawings submissions and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and 1-3 years of related experience, with strong project management and bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (preferred in air-conditioning or fire services).
• 1-3 years related experience, especially fire services or building services engineering.
• Proficient knowledge of building services installation and relevant regulations.
• Strong project management, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor overall site activities and liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams throughout the project.
• Participate in preparing tender, budget proposals, drawings and equipment submissions and project coordination.
• Provide technical advice to ensure site works comply with contractual and statutory requirements.
• Monitor progress, conduct site inspections, testing and commissioning; follow up defects.

Job description

• Monitor overall site activities and liaise with different stakeholders including clients, suppliers, subcontractors as well as project teams throughout the whole project;
• Participate in preparing tender, budget proposal, drawing and equipment submission as well as project coordination and management;
• Provide technical advice and guidance to project teams and subcontractors to ensure all site installation works are complying with contractual and statutory requirement;
• Monitor the progress of project and conduct periodic site inspection, testing and commissioning of building services installations and follow up on defect rectification work if required.

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (Preferred background in air-conditioning or fire services);
• 1-3 years related experience, especially fire services or related building services engineering fields;
• Proficient knowledge of building services installation and relevant statutory regulations;
• A good team player with agile mindset. Strong project management, problem-solving and communication skills are essential;
• Good command of both English and Chinese;
• Proficient in MS Office Project and AutoCAD.
