Job summary

Howden Group Holdings in Hong Kong seeks a dynamic Employee Benefits Broker to handle a diverse corporate client base. You’ll drive business development, service clients, and place risk with insurers, while providing strategic advisory and renewal management.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in insurance broking or risk advisory, with HK qualifications (IIQE Paper 1 & 2) and strong employee benefits knowledge. Fluency in English and Cantonese is essential; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree holder with IIQE Paper 1 and 2 required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance broking or risk advisory.
• Strong understanding of employee benefits products.
• Proven client relationship management and business development.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate clients, providing strategic risk advisory and insurance placement services.
• Identify new business opportunities through market intelligence, networking, and referrals.
• Conduct risk assessments and gather underwriting information to support optimal coverage recommendations.
• Prepare and present insurance proposals, negotiate terms with insurers, and ensure timely placement.
• Manage renewals, mid-term adjustments, and claims support, ensuring high client satisfaction.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurers and stakeholders to ensure competitive solutions.
• Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
• Mentor junior staff and share best practices.
